About
I am Gabriel and this is my blog, Project Afterlight. I’m a Web designer specializing in standards-based Web design. Unlike traditional Web designers, my methods are based on modern Web design best practices. This includes separation of structure from presentation, tableless layouts, as well as cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility. I am currently doing a self-study on Web Accessibility and Information Architecture and I’m taking the first steps through this blog. I also love to write.
Now, you may already know why I put up this blog. I want to have a home where I can express my creative ideas. I have a lot of things to say to the world too and I believe that writing is the best way that I could be heard. Computers and technology are topics that I’ve learned to love since I got hold of a Nintendo video game console. Since then, my passion for computers just kept on growing. So expect me to write a lot of topics about these in here.
Project Afterlight is a blog that contains articles, news, updates, and reviews on technology and life. It is based on the synonym of the word, review. From Dictionary.com, afterlight is defined as:
af·ter·light –noun
- the light visible in the sky after sunset; afterglow.
- a view of past events; retrospect.
On a similar note, afterlight is listed in Thesaurus.com as a synonym of the words: review, revision, re-draft and rewriting among others. Project Afterlight aims to enlighten its readers through the author’s opinion on technological developments and anything of interest. It is this site’s intention to provide you with an open and sometimes different perspective on things that might be otherwise viewed as common. However, please be reminded that the articles contained herein are a product of the author’s views and that they do not, in any way, intend to slander anyone. Should you wish to participate, your wise comments are greatly appreciated.
That what I don’t know, I don’t think I know. -Socrates
