Firefox 2.0.0.4 Released

Firefox 2.0.0.4A new build of Firefox has just been released. It’s not yet available on the official Website, but it’s already available in their FTP servers.

What’s New in Firefox 2.0.0.4

  • Release Date: May 30, 2007
  • Security Update: The following security issues have been fixed.
  • Windows Vista Support: More enhancements and fixes for Windows Vista are included, with the following caveats.
  • New Languages: Afrikaans (af) and Belarusian (be) are now available. Beta releases for several new languages are also available for testing.

Visiting the Silverlight Gallery in a Flash

Having heard of Adobe Flash’s would-be competitor earlier this month, I finally went over to the Silverlight Gallery to see how it significantly differs with Flash. A plug-in is needed to view Silverlight movies so I first downloaded the Microsoft Silverlight 1.0 beta plug-in and installed it. It’s a good thing that the developers included support for Firefox and Safari browsers in their beta release, though support for Opera would be much more appreciated.

My Ever Changing Top 5 File Hosting Services

If you’ve been using Gmail recently, you might have noticed that the attachment limit is now 20 MB. Yup, it has doubled. However, a recent project of mine called for a larger attachment. The file was around 80 MB, so I went ahead and looked for file hosting services. A simple Google search for the term free file hosting gave me an idea of what would initially make up my top 5 file hosing services.
