A blog posted by Bruce Nussbaum of BusinessWeek tells why Apple is number one in innovation. The results came from the BW/BCG Survey in which 1032 responses from top managers were tallied. The first 50 responses are posted in Bruce’s article. Bruce mentioned that Apple’s ability in innovation could be because of its use of design thinking to create products/services that meet the unmet needs of consumers. This may be attributed to the success of iPod and iTunes. They revolutionized the way people listened to and made use of digital music. Furthermore, Bruce also mentioned of a notable phrase in his article- an ecosystem of innovation.

MySpace Plus Photobucket Equals More Space

A CNET report has confirmed that social networking site MySpace will acquire Photobucket, the Web’s top photo-sharing service. The acquisition will most likely cost about $300 million, according to the report.

IE7 Update: Stagnant Market Share. Web Designers Not Surprised.

Seven months have passed since it was launch, yet it seems that IE7 hasn’t gained enough market share as expected. According to Computer World’s article, rival metrics firm WebSideStory reported a 31% market share for IE7 as of last week. IE6 however, still has a higher share at 46%-47%.

My W3C Validation Woes

It’s not easy to have a standards compliant Web site. Besides, what difference does it make? It doesn’t change the look of a Web page, does it? It seems pointless thinking about validation as another step in the project management process. It’s clearly a time-consuming procedure, not to mention that it takes a lot of effort examining a problematic code which when altered, could oftentimes destroy a Web page’s layout. So it’s not surprising that many W3C validation attempts lead to frustration.

Yet Another WordPress TechBlog

I’ve been applying for an online job for a couple of months now, yet no one has gotten interest in me. I nearly got one though. I don’t know if I blew it or if it was the employer’s loss because in our last conversation he asked, How much was your previous salary? I knew I did the right thing. I answered in ranges since exact figures could sometimes get applicants from being screened out, but it seemed that luck didn’t go my way. Two months of online job hunting… and counting.

Now, I’m in front of my computer and luckily I still have an Internet connection. Before I get a notice of disconnection from my ISP, I might as well waste my bandwidth on something that’s noble. I love hanging out in tech-forums. It just gives me a sense fulfillment being able to post informative comments. I wish to reach out to more audiences now, and blogging is the best way that I could do this.
